Treatment programs

Our treatment programs are for people who have had an assessment within the past 6 months that recommended this level of care. If you haven’t had an assessment yet, start with a DWI assessment or a substance use assessment.

Dharma Counseling Service is licensed for the 20/30-hour, 40/60-hour and 90-hour DWI treatment programs. Call us to register for the level of treatment recommended for you.

ADETS

ADETS (Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School) is for people who have had a DWI and an assessment within the past 6 months that recommended ADETS. See Prime For Life and ADETS for fees and how to enroll.

Prime For Life

PRIME For Life® is an evidence-based motivational prevention, intervention and pretreatment program for people who may be making high-risk choices. That includes, but isn’t limited to, impaired-driving offenders, college students, and young people charged with alcohol or drug offenses. It aims to change drinking and drug use by changing beliefs, attitudes, risk perceptions, motivations and knowledge of how to reduce the risk of alcohol- and drug-related problems throughout life.

Short-term treatment

Short-term treatment is for people who have had an assessment within the past 6 months that recommended short-term treatment.

Longer-term treatment

Longer-term treatment is for people who have had an assessment within the past 6 months that recommended longer-term treatment.

Intensive outpatient treatment

Intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) is for people whose assessment recommended it. Groups meet at least 3 times a week for 3 hours each.

Before your first session

You can download most of the intake paperwork and fill it out before your appointment. A screening at the start of the first appointment confirms the level of care.
